Village at Western Oaks sits on a total of 600 acres and includes 5 neighborhoods and 1622 homes. A big reason residents love living here is because of the convenient location. There is very easy access to Mopac (Loop 1) and it takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes to downtown Austin. There is a strong sense of community with all who live here and it shows. It is also very convenient to shopping and fun restaurants like Waterloo Icehouse at Escarpment Village. Karst Preserve is close by where you can take the kids for a cool hike and get the scoop on nearby caves. That will keep their interest!

This great park is nearby and has wonderful hike and bike trails, along with a wonderful pool for those warm summer evenings. There is a water-play area for the kids which will keep them busy for a long time on those hot Texas days and nights. This park sits on 152 beautiful acres and is among one of the favorites of south Austin residents. Some of the amenities include two basketball courts, one multipurpose field and one picnic shelter with 17 picnic tables; large enough to celebrate a birthday or other family gatherings. Add two tennis courts and three volleyball courts and this park is a place for everyone. Volunteers keep the picnic tables painted and the grounds clean, making it a fun place to be.

Shop at the very close and convenient Escarpment Village. HEB, Starbucks and Waterloo Icehouse are just some of the wonderful places that keep your life on track….especially Starbucks! This is also the first true “green” retail center in Austin with rainwater harvesting and solar panels. There is also a green roof with native plants for heat reduction and insulation. I just love that Austin is so cutting-edge with the green living and construction, especially in a retail center. You will always find live music, pet events, great people-watching and it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors. See you there!
